the Proto and Plomb tools info pages

http://alloy-artifacts.org/plomb-tool.html

because old tools are cooler than new ones, and these were the best, imho, as good as, or better than Snap On. Plus, I have a tiny collection of them

I did buy another set, a 1/4 inch ratchet set in a small steel socket wrench set box, that is stamped Plumb Los Angeles, but I forgot to take a picture of it, and the reason for photographing the tools? Just for the insurance company report if they are ever stolen... and good tools are often a target for thieves, as ebay buyers will not care where they came from, just that they can be purchased.

  1. Just went and checked my tool box, no Proto. Mostly Craftsman & S-K, a few odd balls. What a relief! I was afraid the tools I used to make a living with were now collectors items!

  2. They are great. and if you didn't already know, most Proto repair kits will work on Plomb tools—I fixed a Plomb ratchet I found at the bottom of a junk drawer at a yard sale.
