I'd love to see this at the Optima Challenge or SEMA

good grief, I didn't even know this following blog existed! Go look at

A court in Italy has ruled in favor of Ferrari in a patent lawsuit filed against a company that was planning to build replicas of the 1962-64 Ferrari 250 GTO, declaring the cars a work of art, entirely original and can not be imitated or reproduced.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the court decided that “the customization of the car’s lines and its aesthetic elements have made the 250 GTO unique, a true automobile icon.”

The verdict protects the design from being copied and reproduced without permission.

The judgment was handed down by the tribunal in Bologna after Ferrari lodged a petition to have the design and intellectual property rights of the classic car officially recognized, because a company in  Modena was planning to produce 250 GTO replicas.

Morgan driver failing to pay attention to traffic ahead caught on video recorder slamming into an 18 wheeler

it's clear other traffic was hardly moving at 10 mph near the crash site, and the Morgan locked up all brakes to no avail.... he didn't have anti lock brakes, grippy tires, or traction - just fast layer of smoke

The Swiss government will auction off an estimated $13M+ of exotics, all seized from the collection of Equatorial Guinea’s Vice President.

a LaFerrari, a McLaren P1, a Bugatti Veyron, an Aston Martin One:77, a Koenigsegg One, and one of only nine $4.5 million Lamborghini Veneno Roadsters built, all of which were seized from the collection of Vice President Mangue, the son of the country’s sitting president Mbasogo, who took power following a 1979 coup) was also convicted of embezzlement by a French court in 2017.

Mangue apparently put the current collection together after an earlier group of superstar cars—two Veyrons, a Porsche Carrera GT, and a Ferrari Enzo—were seized by the French government in 2011 and sold at auction in 2013 for $4 million.

Bonhams is handling sale, which is slated for September 29 in Geneva.

Mangue was storing his cars in Switzerland when the Swiss government seized the 25-car collection, he is up against international corruption and money laundering charges.

The government of Equatorial Guinea subsequently claimed that some of the cars were not Obiang Mangue’s personal property, but instead were state assets sent to Switzerland for repairs.

The price of settling the case with the Swiss, according to a Geneva court ruling, was the surrender of the entire garage for sale, with proceeds going toward charities benefiting the people of Equatorial Guinea.

a top oiler 427-Powered 1963 Galaxie 500 XL dual quad 4 spd, was pulled out of the garage finally, after about 40 years, and though not restored for points competitions, has been built to enjoy

The orignal engine was pulled, everything was taken apart, and scattered around the garage by the original owner that died, and about 7 years later his sister was ready to sell this, for 14k, to raise money to buy herself a new car

interesting... someone posted my photo of my engine and carbs as the example of a 440 six pack on Wikimedia

My guess? Southern California, either LA or San Diego, based on the eucalyptus trees and lack of Australian cars. Drivers ed, always rich with humor for the rest of us NOT going through drivers education training

.36 bac, drunk driving New Jersey police LT.

Nice to see how considerate the cops are in Lower Township New Jersey.

I guess if I were to be arrested for DUI, I'd want to be arrested by these guys. Well, that is, if they treat anyone that isn't their drunk dept LT as nice as this.

What do you think? If a young 22 year old listening to NWA in a multicolor paintjob 64 Impala with the Mexican flag painted across the trunk was who they pulled over, would that 22 year old get this nice a reception? Yeah, probably not.

Well, I am pretty sure you don't want to move to Sacramento county, if you do, you'll be limited to what car repairs, improvements, and custom changes you can make, to your vehicle, on your property, in your garage. Because rich people are trying to make a profit by investing in real estate

The is a website stating that the laws in Sacramento County make almost any auto repair you do illegal.

Is minor vehicle repair permitted at residences in any agricultural, agricultural-residential, residential, interim estate and interim residential zones ?

However, it is unlawful for any person to engage in minor vehicle repair or maintenance under any of the following circumstances:

Using tools not normally found in a residence;

Conducted on vehicles registered to persons, not currently residing on the lot or parcel;

Conducted outside a fully enclosed garage and resulting in any vehicle being inoperable for a period in excess of twenty-four hours.

What is Minor Automotive Repair?

Brake part replacement
Minor tune-ups
Change of oil and filter
Repair of flat tires
Other similar operations

Why is the county of Sacramento involved?

Code Enforcement is concerned about the chemicals involved in major automobile repair, which can pollute neighborhoods and endanger the health and wellbeing of residents.
Furthermore, this kind of activity increases vehicle traffic and the visual impact can negatively impact property values.

GEEZ!!! I want to know what those rims are made of!!!

Magic Wheelchair reveal at Spfld Museum of the motorcycle costume built by the SOLIDWORKS team for Ben!

Ben’s motorcycle costume reveal would not have been possible without the hard work of dozens of people. The build team, as always, went above and beyond: Chinloo Lama (team leader, detailing artist, vinyl decal whisperer), Sal Lama (foam and frame fabricator), Annie Cheung (team foreman), Albert Hernandez (body designer and magnet magician), Nicolas Lefebvre (electronics hacking and professional cable labeler), Gabe Enright (lighting effects design and fabrication), David Law (hands-on, master of none), Stephen Endersby (dashboard designer and plastic pipe connector), Julian Galgoczy (body prep/sander), Kevin Berni (audio and special effects), Heather Snider (team seamstress, a snarky sew and sew who kept everyone in stitches), and Madhuvamsi Karicharla (3DEXPERIENCE Lab intern, kept an eye on all the 3D prints).

There are also the people who set up and documented the reveal: Chloe Trepanier (reveal organizer), Robert Gilliam (photography and video), Sara Zuckerman (project documentarian), and Larissa Murray and everyone at the Springfield Museums. Larissa and her lovely staff made the reveal the special event it was.

This Magic Wheelchair project is part of the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab. The lab is the global startup accelerator and open innovation program of Dassault Systemes and is committed to empowering startups and makers with ideas that can potentially shift scales of innovation in their particular domain. In case of Magic Wheelchair, the project scored super high on its ability to leverage collective intelligence and 3DEXPERIENCE Platform solutions to create huge impact on society.

The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab is made of up passionate makers, and any team of volunteers who want to work on building an epic Magic Wheelchair costume will be provided with free access to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. The platform has a full range of 3D modeling, collaborative, information intelligence and simulation apps, including industry leaders CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, xDesign, SIMULIA, and 3DSWYM. We invite anyone interested to join our community.

I wonder how many of these escaped the trash can

wow, that's a crazy cool ride kid!

The new 1.2 million dollar Ford GT has some crazy numbers

New aerodynamics enable the GT Mk 2 to generate over 400 percent more downforce than the Ford GT while fixed aerodynamic elements along with its race-proven suspension and Michelin Pilot Sport racing tires enable the car to pull more than 2Gs of lateral grip.

GT Mk II is also lighter, losing 200 pounds while the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine that powers both the Ford GT race car and the road car is able to generate 200 horsepower more, making the Mk II the most powerful version of the Ford GT.

GT 350 getting an engine change? or just an oil change?

this looks promising, Limpet smart alarm and tracker

4th of July in Washington DC done right, with full military demonstrations and spectacle, after all, if every damn football game, nascar race, and air show can get planes and helicopters, why the hell not the nations capital on the anniversary of freedom from tyranny?

but that's not going over peacefully with those angry liberals religiously opposed to Trump

Me? I think the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds are a waste of money. Put the 65k per plane per hour to good use giving public school kids a better lunch. Yes, really.

Or fix the damn roads.

But, since the military wastes the money on those exhibitions, HOW can anyone protest the 4th of July in Washington DC?
