seen on the way home from work. I didn't know until now what a good looking little car the Corvair convertible is, I don't think I've seen one with the top down in forever

 

I kid you not, if you can get one, you really ought to consider fixing it up and enjoying it

    my father has always owned a convertible, since he got his license in 1941
    when I was a kid we always had a yard full of cool cars, and almost every one was a convertible.
    and usually the uncommon ones. we never had a 66 Mustang convertible, but I remember we had a corvair convertible and a Nash Metropolitan convertible and a 59 Ford Skyliner hardtop convertible

  2. I owned a twin to this one. Had for years. Purchased it from an elderly lady. Had it completely rebuilt. When it came time for retirement I let it go. It tended to suck money out of my pocket and I no longer had access to the shop that kept it running. Mustang was the answer to the Corvair Monza.
