I doubt a 30s Ford or Chevy would be able to tow up hills a trailer this big. Unless they had just stuffed a dragster engine in that car. and truck brakes.

1958... I don't think this is a real situation, it's possibly a set up for laughs...

It could be a gag, but I don't know. I know the tongue weight on that trailer is pretty high, and that old 30's something Chevy/Ford would have to have some very serious rear springs on it to support it.
