Where did the name come from for the Chrysler Pacifica?

a Chrysler design studio in Carlsbad California that only employed 20 people. Trust me, any office building on the California coast that only has 20 people using it, and not selling anything? Is a million dollar a year loss - cause that is what you COULD rent that space out for.

It was a casualty of the 2008 depression.  Mercedes bought it.

The early work for the Plymouth Prowler, the Chrysler Atlantic, and the 2006 Dodge Challenger were done there at Pacifica, along with many other concept cars, since 1983
