Cool things with wheels since 2006
Man, these are beautiful paintings Jesse. Thanks for posting.
All these have been painted by Terence Cuneo. He used to paint after he made his sketchs on site..It is said that for the drawing of the 'Scotland" the wind reached 53 mph as he was in the structure.Vincent.
Dang! You're amazing! How did you know all that? Thanks for the info, these are painted in an AMAZING way!
plus, the artists choices in what content and amount if details... are very unusually realistic, but better in the unusual choices than 99% of other rail road paintings, or photographs. I love the last one the most.. no one does the switching equipment, and the very black and white just contrasts so remarkably with the red and blue lights!the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th are such fantastic choices of views of the railroad life, but never... and I've seen so much while doing this blog, ever seen in either art or photos until these! So amazing!
few nights ago i was reading a book about him.. this one https://www.stellabooks.com/books/terence-cuneo/the-railway-painting-of-terence-cuneo/2113172Most of these painting are special orders for the British Railways, that's why he could have been in the shop or ... on the top of the bridge. His work is amazing ..
Thanks! I am following you on this, and just ordered a copy for myself from Amazon!
