I think I now know why I was told my grandfather would put his Pontiac up on blocks in the garage in the Winter in the 1930's.
Early 20's Hudson. That's why more expensive cars had lap robes. The cloth strap on the back of the front seat that carried over well into the 1950's was for the lap robes.
Not a knock down shovel, an oversize flashy chrome shovel with blinking LEDs. That way the snow gods will sigh, give up, and go somewhere else. LOL
