In Bananaland (aka Brazil) the Ford Mavericks are still seen on the streets as they are a very desirable classic today. Weirdly they were the top of the line Ford at the time, with a 302 V8, being one of the fastest cars manufactured in Brazil. As we don't have Mustangs, the Maverick is the only option for a Ford V8 down here.
Living in Tokyo, I don't see them at all, but I did own a sweet 1974 Grabber back in the early 80's. I loved that car... until a cement truck remodeled the rear quarter for me.
