This is a 1936 Chevrolet sedan delivery chassis, with all the
fenders, running boards, and the windshield and everything forward of the cab is factory. These doors are also factory, but the body is locally made, including the double rear doors. The factory
sedan delivery had a single rear door that hinged on the left.
(thanks Steve!)
First, I would like to know what the make of the panel delivery is. That's just custom the way it sits. Second, the lettering and stork and rear door crest are all done in relief. THAT'S ART! At first I just though it was just painted on. Now I'm thinking it's done in all gold leaf.
ReplyDeleteSteve researched it, and says "This is a 1936 Chevrolet sedan delivery chassis, these doors are also factory, but the body is locally made, including the double rear doors. The factory sedan delivery had a single rear door that hinged on the left."
DeleteThis is a very cool custom in 1936 then. Very impressive.
