If you recall, you've probably seen some photos of James Dean with a camera, but this is the first time I've found a photo he made - and it's really good.

And this is a girlfriend he had for a short time, whose parents told her to break it off because Dean wasn't Catholic. Anna Pierangeli. Born in Italy, died at age 39 of a drug overdose from trying to deal with 2 failed marriages, 2 kids, and an acting career that tanked in Beverly Hills. Her first husband was Vic Damone, and they had one son, and she won a Golden Globe in 1951

  1. Could be wrong and probably am, but that car looks very 1965 Falcon-ish and Dean died in 1955. Can anyone ID the car from the photo? Other photos the same day?

    1. look at a 50 Mercury, it's possible. I don't know what you see that gives you clues it's a Falcon

  2. First off, the Car in the Photo is too new..Wind Wing Windows and the Pull up Door locks (mid 60's style). Second, Dean's using a Rolliflex Camera that shoots a 2 1/4" SQUARE Negative...the photo is NOT a square image

    1. 1st, your hypothesis is guesswork, and you forgot to look at early 50s cars that have wind wing windows, like the 50 Mercury. 2nd, I cropped this image and so do other people for the purpose in improved composition.
2nd, do a reverse image search, and you will see that the internetv agrees, this is exactly what I labeled it.
3rd, why so skeptical? I'm rarely wrong. I'm not wrong this time... but instead of telling me why you think I'm wrong take a moment and prove me right

    2. also, I got thos photos of Dean from other sites, and the only connection between them is James Dean, nothing says he took the photo of the model with any specific camera, I added the photos of Dean to show he was interested in photography

    1. umm, no, but you're vastly over reacting.
Take a moment to think about it. You're being over dramatic.
Well, you're being critical, skeptical, and over dramatic... so, maybe you're either drunk, or should be moving on to some other website that doesn't upset you. You're getting old and cranky.... and it's not good for your bloodpressure
Dang, didn't you used to be fun?

    2. I'm still fun...I just wasted half an hour searching Google and Duck Duck and Tin Eye to see if your "story" has ANY credence...it DOESN'T, there's another Blogspot fool (like you) that claims Dean took this...other than that, there's ZERO EVIDENCE Dean took this photo...by all means prove me wrong by posting a link to the facts....still smarter than you even when I'm drunk and OLD.

    3. Wow, I forgot all about Tineye. Anyway, if you don't agree with 5 pages of Google image search results that this is Pier Angeli photographed by James Dean, that is your problem, not mine. https://jamesdeanforever.blogspot.com/2015/09/producciones-artisticas-y-fotos-hechas.html this also shows his phtos of Pier Angeli, including the one you don't believe he took.
As for smarter than me? I doubt it. Not only do I have an IQ of 127, I'm also certain you aren't smarter.

  4. Whenever and whomever took the photo, she's gorgeous. Makes you wonder how their lives might have been different had they stayed together.
