there used to be a line of novelty electric clocks, and they were branded Mastercrafters, but they were owned by Sessions Clock Co of Connecticutt, for an astonishing awesome look at this companies variety, see http://roger-russell.com/mastrpg/mastrpg.htm

above, because it's airplane themed, and has wheels, and I try to stick to the rule that I post cool stuff with wheels.

Just imagine that instead of the tube of glitter, in the reflective half pipe, trying to please you by imitating lava, before that one guy figured out how to make lava lamps, that the same area was used to imitate a fireplace with a fire,

here you can see the reality vs advertised, though, the above is missing the plastic piece that is supposed to be the fireplace andiron (I know, strange word, but so is plinth)

or the water going over Niagara Falls (if you know the 3 Stooges bit, laugh with me)

or this river in a forest

they fit all sorts of things into the area below the clock, and it all had a moving and lit up component.

What brought this up? My mom had the fireplace one, and it was a cute little xmas tradition that she'd bring it out with the christmas decorations and turn it on. Sounds quaint, right? But it charmed us kids.
Anyway, I had no idea that the company made so many variations on their basic clock, and just happened to come across the lava one while looking up the Airguide stuff last week, and shared that discovery with my sister, who also had never seen or heard of the other things that Master Crafters made with this clock

  1. The clocks definitely qualify as "cool." And although out of sight, there are numerous wheels inside of them. Therefore, your rule is not transgressed.
