I can recommend watching the tv show Rockford Files, season one... there is a lot of car chases, usually one or two per episode, and every single show is FULL of interesting 60s and 70s cars
how about this scene, picking up a hitch hiker, and then the traffic has a pair of 914s for some strange coicidence

The first three photos look like PCH in Malibu and #4 looks like the trailer park in Pacific Palisades. Hard to believe that the Palisades ever had cheap housing, but it did - at least up til the 70's.
