I'm going to guess she rode in the back of a chauffeured Suburban, from her multi-million dollar brownstone, to a mansion on Long Island with a dock where a multi million dollar yacht was waiting to head out for an afternoon sailing.
How frightened out of her mind the 4th of July must make her. Flags everywhere, on the sidewalks, flagpoles, street lights, houses, businesses, trucks, cars, etc. The thought of Trump getting re-elected, with bunting plastered all over Washington DC, would probably push her to hysterics.
SO, this is what the New York Times considers a good editorial employee mindset, and pays for their opinion? Seems very extreme left liberal democrat.

Those trucks with American flags, are driven by the people who will pull over if they see you have a flat tire, and help you get the spare on, while handing you a bottle of water, and making sure you get on your way.
Imagine seeing American Flags all over during Memorial Day Weekend in the United States, on trucks.

ReplyDeleteI am one of those who would have liked to live in the USA. A dream that did not come true. A country where I traveled a lot and appreciated the mentality of the inhabitants, their courtesy, their will, their welcome. And when I see what has become of the Great America today, I'm sad. Sad to see all those people who were lucky enough to be born and live there, and who denigrate it, try to destroy it and burn their own flag. They don't even realize how lucky they are. Shame on them.

DeleteI miss the farmers, hunters, trappers, and fishermen. San Diego is great for meeting surfers, theater types, computer people, and cool old cars and car people. But it's a long way from people that know what the forests, fields, and lakes smell like.
DeleteI guess I'm able to fit in and get along across the board, but, it's also possible that I just prefer the place and people I grew up with, which is probably natural. There just aren't any truck stops, tractors, potato fields, blackberry brambles, cranberry bogs or streams.
I tell ya, one of these days, years from now, I'll be slowly making my way from here to somewhere, with a Zebco 404, some small 6 or 8 footer dinghy, a folding Evinrude, and a camera. Maybe a late 60s truck, etc. Hopefully a cool little ol camper trailer. Then, lots of 2 rut dirt roads, some mountains, rivers, forests, museums, small towns, and people who dig cars and have something cool in the garage that they like to talk about.

Easiest way to monetize it would be to simply create a password version, and no one gets a password without subscribing for a month, or 6 months... and the cost for a month would be something like 10 dollars. If, after a year, the number of people who subscribe equals something I can live on, rent, insurance, food, gas, phone, internet cost, then I could quit working for a living.

So, monetizing isn't likely to work for the purposes of shifting from having a real job that pays the bills, to blogging only, and traveling.
I'm pretty sure that it costs about 20 dollars a day to eat and drink (not even talking about expensive food, a burrito is commonly about 9 dollars, cheapest, and soda is about 2 dollars a cup. That's for fast food, no fridge required.
Gas is 4 dollars a gallon, and nothing I'd be able to afford gets over 20 mpg.
Life is just a lot more expensive than it ought to be.
To say nothing of the cost of a truck or car that could pull a nice little trailer that I could live in instead of hotels, apartments, etc. You gotta have a place for your stuff!
So, pulling a trailer would mean serious MPG suffering. Not better than 15 mpg is my guess.
All I can say is thank God for the First Amendment of our Constitution. It really helps us see who the real idiots are. Lady, if you don't like this America, where there is opportunity for all those who WORK to achieve their dreams? Here's a plane ticket. Go to some nice banana republic somewhere.

DeleteI could do without "expletives against Joe Biden." I'm a firm believer in public decorum, but it seems I am one of the last. But American flags? They don't say "This is my country, this is not your country, I own this." They show we are proud to call this place home. Proud to live in a country where we can say nasty things about the President and no one comes to our house at night and we disappear. Proud to live in a country where a newspaper editor doesn't have to worry about the government shutting down her paper.
