the rake on this... damn!


just to make sure this wasn't a distortion of photography, I looked around for another copy


it's not as pronounced, and looks flatter

This car was full of tricks to confuse other racers, notice the vinyl top, Petty was, if I recal correctly, the fastest in practice and everybody thought it was the vinyl top, so they copied him. Petty took it off before the race, there were other things on the car as well to distract other racers from the real modifications. the rake was another redirection.
