ummmm... what the heck is that car in front, on the left? I don't have time to look it up right now... but I think it's a Fairlane, and that Cortina behind it? Huh!
It sure looks like a Fairlane, 1964. also, that banner, wow! It's a '71 or '72. I would know by the taillights. I only check my email before looking at your blog. only then can I do the rest of my nightly computing, THANKS !!!
thanks! Dang, I don't think I've seen anyone on the street or at a car show with a Fairlane, and certainly not at a Ultimate Street Car type racer... dang, I bet that would look GOOD! Imagine that number 155 above, in this photo, out on the track with a bunch of other street racers!
I would have guessed a 72 or 73 based on the few I can remember! Hell, I'm happy if I just get within 2 years of being right when I guess about the year of a car
that's terrific! With a 304? Have you been upgrading it? Or are you keeping it stock? My step dad had a Javelin with a 401, and mentioned that fact a lot, but never did talk much about the rest of the car, or tell stories about what he did with it
My dim recollection is that the earlier Fairlanes of the 60's had more prominent trim vents (or whatever you want to call them) in the rear fenders. There was a period when you could always tell when one went by, at least the deluxe ones with chrome, because they whistled.

DeleteI guess I should have looked at the front plate, good spy Jesse! As a side note I have a 1971 Javelin base model.
