It's been about 80 years since truckers started hauling cars, over railroad crossings. HOW do they still not know what crossings will high center hang up the trailers YET?

  1. and that crossing has a very visible, noticeable hump.
and i bet it has a sign warning low trucks not to cross there .

    1. agreed, that is a hell of a hump to decide to TRY and make it over with a 40 foot (or whatever a car hauler length is) trailer

  2. When I worked at Chrysler Corp. in Car Distribution, we had many a car that was classified as DAMAGED IN TRANSIT. Those that could be salvaged would be repaired, put into field service for sales representatives, and then sold as used. The others were just bought back. Bear in mind that once a car leaves the factory (assembly plant) it is on the dealer's finance line and belongs to the dealer. So, buy backs are necessary.
