Why don't semis have a set of boards that would be used to get the truck tires a couple inches higher, by backing up onto them, so that the trucks can get free of a high center problem on railroad tracks?

something similar to traction boards used to get out of loose sand or snow

  2. usually once they get stuck , its stuck. and wont move at all.

drivers used to be able to use their eyeball and their brain to determine if their truck would fit, but most drivers now just dont have the experience or the brainpower.
trucking companies treat their drivers like garbage, and pay them poorly.
the companies would much rather have new inexperienced rookie drivers than pay for experienced drivers.

nowdays, if you have a couple of very minor accidents, you get fired. I know of one driver, who recently ran over a curb with the trailer tires, making a very tight turn, and the company called it an accident and fired him.
