Why hasn't the most ridiculous area in the world been informed that it's the year 2019, and gotten civilized yet? Just how many stupid decisions contrary to civilized safe public conduct have to happen to result in a top 5 worst train disasters in history - IN 2019?!?!?

train travel, which is about 200 years old by now, hasn't changed much in 100 years

So why are ridiculous places like Pakistan not able to conduct train travel in a civilized way, something expected of people in 2019 where by using cell phones, communication with "facetime" and "Skype" is possible, and doctors can treat patients thousands of miles away, even halfway around the world, and robots have landed on other planets and send back photos and soil analysis....

but the concept of public civil conduct and respect for public safety rules has yet to become part of the train transportation heading north out of Karachi Pakistan, and THIS train killed about 75 people, injured another 40.

How? Overcrowding in the cheap railcars designed for the low income people, combined with train service over long distance journeys, without amenities like stops of frequency for comfortable meals off the passenger train - has seemingly provoked people to bring aboard their own STOVES to cook meals, even FRYING OIL on GAS STOVES.

November 1st, 2019, a portable gas cylinder exploded, which caught the frying oil on fire, and with the speed of the train, and the open windows to vent the stench of cooking in a rail car, the fire was fanned for miles before the train stopped.

The emergency chain to signal an emergency stop had no result. Most of the dead were those that had jumped from the moving train to escape the fire

“Two stoves blew up when people were cooking breakfast, the presence of kerosene with the passengers in the moving train further spread the fire,” Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed told Geo television.

Railways minister Ahmed said it had been “tradition” for authorities to allow people traveling to the Tablighi Jamaat to board trains carrying cooking cylinders. “I admit our mistake… this will not happen in the future,” he told journalists in televised comments.

  1. Oh my friend, you need to travel more... Here in Bananaland sometimes is not different. It's a mix of low average IQ with 'dont care' and corruption. Why would you spend more money if you are not going to make more money with it or lose if not spending? Simple like that.

    1. I wish I could travel more, but to travel would require money, which is a result of a job, which I would have to be away from to travel and then I would make no money but instead be spending.
Somewhere I wasn't mentored in how to get a job that pays more.
Plus, I seriously waste every spare moment not working (and plenty of time at work) focused on this blog, and learning more just to add more to this blog

    2. When you are young, you have the willing to travel, the free time to travel, but no money to travel.

When you grow up, you have the money to travel, the willing to travel, but no free time to travel.

When you get old, you have the free time to travel, the money to travel, but the willing is gone.

To travel, we need to find a gap between all these situations.

    3. I have mentioned this issue a couple of times myself.... but I didn't think of it as the elderly running out of willingness, I thought of it as them running out of health and ability to travel.
In a way, I was fortunate to be in the Navy and did travel to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Canada, Dubai and the UAE, and Australia. Plus I was stationed in Orlando, San Antonio, Pearl Harbor and San Diego.
So, from age 18 to 29, I did travel a lot, but I had very little paycheck to actually spend when in those countries to see much of them.

  2. Theres a reason one country put a man on the moon 50 years ago, and other countries are still shitting in their drinking water.
some countries are simply filled with idiots and there is nothing you can do to help them.
