Not the the tail section of a B-52, it'a a nose section of a Russian T 104. Well, my source was wrong. But my readers are quick to correct a mistake, and even (as requested in the new rules) provide an example of what really is the thing that was erroneously named (Thanks Robert M!)
I like the photo of the Tupolev, it has a Norman Rockwell look to it, you expect to see a harried navigator with a pencil on his ear, charts on the table and a sextant in his hand.
Yeah see, I knew it couldn't be a '52' tail section. A Tupolev ah. Now I want one. What a cool fuselage to trans form into something mobile for the Burning Man gig.
Actually it's the navigator's seat of a Soviet era Tupolev 104 passenger jet. Looks old and worn in a nice steampunkish way....
ReplyDeleteWell now, not sure that it a "B-52". Looks more like a heavily modified B-29 nose interior. But what ever, cool as cool can be. Almost steam punk-ish.
ReplyDeleteThat is a Russian Tu-104 nose section.

ReplyDeleteThis is B-52 tail gunner's position.
