Back in May, a video went viral of a flight attendant's boyfriend proposing to her on board a plane. Passengers caught the moment on their phones and seemed to be touched by the romantic gesture. But the flight attendant had been fired because while accepting her boyfriend's proposal, she neglected passenger safety.
China Eastern Airlines — the airline she worked for — said the proposal happened mid-flight, which meant there was a disturbance that was irresponsible and jeopardized the security of passengers.
Which, as anyone with half a brain realizes, is bullshit. Mid-flight, there is nothing more to be done for the passengers "security" unless a flight attendent decides that a padlock on a door would be a great idea, mid-flight. What, is someone going to parachute onto the plane midflight like the teenage mutant ninja turtles? And if they did, is she supposed to go Chuck Norris on them?
Once again, Chinese old men have went harrumph! And decided there will be no christmas, no birthdays, and no happyness. Now get off their lawn.
