I just learned of a local poster collector/online sales - you can still buy Rene Vincent, Geo Ham, Seneca, Cappiello, and Cuneo posters - if you're fairly wealthy, real stuff ain't cheap

  1. Nice posters, but way out of my price range.

I think it was in your Corvette book review, you mentioned the word Gymkhana. This company has a 1925 poster from France for a Gymkana (no "H") event. I guess the word goes back at least that far.

    1. I noticed that too, but I just don't have the time to get into that... it's likely the origin of the word though.... but I'm curious where Ken Block found the word, and if it was the Corvette suspension

  2. According to Merriam-Webster, gymkhana is an Indian word, and in the 19th century, it was a display of athletic and equestrian skill. In the 20th century, it became a competition of driving skill. For some reason, I thought it was Japanese. I don't think I was really aware of the word until Ken Block started making his videos.
