Stonea Bridge, near Cambridge in eastern England was struck 33 times in one recent 12-month span, because at 6' 6", people still don't realize their car can't pass under it with a bike strapped to the roof (Thank you Kim!)

Why they don't simply build a replica a 1/4 mile up the road, for the morons to hit, which prevents that oversized vehicle from striking and damaging the actual bridge overpass, which results in reconstruction and road closure, and detoured traffic, I haven't ever heard mentioned in any of the many low bridge stories.
