it's very rare that Legend race cars come up, and I had seen something a month ago that had me wondering about them,

so today when the Drive.com ran an article on Legends race cars,

https://www.thedrive.com/new-cars/legend-car-review-at-17500-affordable-racing-is-alive-and-well

I learned what they are all about... 5/8ths scale new made, fiberglass bodied, tube frame, race cars made to look like 1930s and 40's coupes, in spec racing, so that race cars may be affordable to a large number of people.  They can be purchased for about 18k from https://www.speedsport.com/stock-cars/other-stock-cars/u-s-legend-cars-introduces-superlight-training-car/

It turns out that my favorite car magazine columnist just wrote about the Legends cars: https://www.caranddriver.com/features/columns/a40810369/us-legend-racing-is-serious-fun/
