WW2 German soldiers with some odd vehicle, is that an airplane tug? 1943

Steve figures it's an artillery tractor (medium) in the style of an Italian Pavesi P4 (used by both Germany and Italy)

Most likely the Armstrong Siddeley

  1. I find it looks like the(two part) gun carriage for a German 88mm flack gun.

    1. You are correct. The 88mm gun has been removed and the two parts of the carriage have been pushed together.

      In this picture, you can see the reels and boxes mounted to the fenders and the barrel support that one soldier is holding against the side of the fender.
