egg-laying hens being transported between two farms on a hot day, got overheated when the semi broke down, but were saved by a firefighter that sprayed them down with many gallons of water

If I were involved with the trucking company, or the farms, I'd make sure a dozen eggs got delivered to that firefighter weekly, for a couple years at least.
