An AMC/Jeep/Eagle dealer from 1973 until 1991 kept almost everything and took all the signs and displays with him when he closed the dealership, and in 2019 sold it

this is about as close as anyone will get to buying a collection like Steven Juliano's, and it was bought without the hassle and mark up of an auction, and it's new home is with the leader of the Great Lakes AMC club

  1. There was a AMC/Jeep/Renault dealership in Wilson, NC, Cross Country Motors. They operated out of a building that looked like it had been there for a hundred years, going in there was like stepping back in time. I started delivering there as a UPS driver in 1985 and did so off and on for 10 years or so. I didn’t get back over to that part of the world until maybe 2005 or so only to discover that they had closed up and the building had been razed. The county’s community college adjoined the property and they had bought it and cleared it. There’s nothing left but an empty lot. And don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Collier Motors in Pikeville, NC or not, they were another AMC dealer that closed up but there’s still a bunch of cars still sitting there. Google them, you’ll see what I’m talking about.
