300" straight 6, fed by only 3 Holley Dominators, and no turbo or supercharger, powers an altered in Comp Eliminator, is based on an OEM block out of a 1987 Ford truck.

A custom cylinder head from Alan Johnson Performance Engineering rests on top of the engine and has been matched to a custom intake manifold with three split Holley Dominator carburetors. Inside the engine you’ll find a Crower crankshaft, GRP connecting rods, and Wiseco pistons.

  1. Nice! ya gotta love a straight six. Here in Aus. that's what we had for power, really, until the 60's. Meaning mid range price wise.

  2. I've always been a big fan of Altered's. When I was a kid I grew up a couple of miles from Esta drag strip in Cicero NY. There was an Altered there that ran a slant six. When he'd take off the car would bog slightly and hop up and down a couple of times...and he was gone! Great memories!
