the Audi S1 Hoonoitron, designed by Audi Sport specifically for the new Gymkhana video, cost millions. How Audi sees an ROI I can't imagine, but, they also sponsored the hell out of Iron Man

The custom EV features four battery packs from an Audi Q7 and a dual-motor configuration sourced from Formula E.

Inside, Block sits far back in the cabin with his feet elevated – similar to a Formula 1 race car driver . It was one of the weirdest seating positions Block had ever experienced.

Audi designed the S1 E-Tron Quattro Hoonitron from the ground up, drawing its design inspiration from the iconic Sport Quattro S1 Pikes Peak racer.



I hope that this video returns to the exciting pacing and surprise delivery of the first couple gymkhana videos that Ken made, the last couple were completely forgettable. 

without looking them up, can you remember 3 videos ago, what was the location? But do you recall the first 2? I bet you do. Those, were awesome. I don't even remember the 10th, where they used 4 locations, or London, or Goodwood, or China, or Buffalo

  1. Ok, the story I'm about to tell happened in a insignificant place called Brazil, but I believe still apply anywhere, as people are people anywhere in the world.

    I used to date a girl that used to work at the marketing department of a big American car manufacturer in Brazil. One of your 'Big Three'. And the stories she used to tell me where uncanny. But in short, they had a few millions in budget and absolutely no much control from the company directors. We sometimes use to think that they have researches and plans about target customers, research about customer behaviours, etc. But the reality is completely different.

    The worst case I've heard was the Marketing Director spending almost a million US dollars to organise a music show with a particular singer to promote one of the most expensive vehicules made by that company. The problem is: It was widely know that the target customers of that specific vehicle hates that kind of music. It's like promoting pick-up trucks with vegan food. But the show happened anyway just because the Marketing Director was a big fan of that singer and wanted to meet him. So, company money very well spent...

    1. Please, don't put down Brazil... it's a great country, and full of cool people. That story is good evidence of the wasteful nature of rich people who spend other people's money. It's a good indication of why so many flops and fails happen.
