hmmmm, I'm wondering, can you tell me what you think of the daily banner change?

does it matter?
would it matter to you if it didn't change?
Or if I used some of my favorites over and over?
Or stick with the daily change to something new ( I still have about 300 banners I've made to pick from) ?

Just something that I was thinking about

  1. I for one like the daily change, you always find the most interesting, beautiful and "cool things with wheels". And on the rare occasion when it doesn't have wheels it is very cool and needed to be shared. And if you want to repeat a banner, I'm sure that it will be worth repeating. Thanks for all you do.

  3. The pictures you find are great, and I really hope you continue changing them at the same pace as always. The occasional collection of the month's banners are indispensable too, in part because I miss some of the banners along the way.

  4. Some days your banners cause me to pause. I say keep it up. And if you repeat them or don't change it every day I don't thank many would mind.

  5. As our fried said, if you want to repeat a banner, I'm sure that it will be worth repeating. The banners are so beautiful that no one would mind looking again to something like that. And thanks for all you do.

  6. I like the banners, I say stick with it. Occasionally one will pop up sparking curiosity resulting in me doing my own research on the photo or photo topic.

  10. I like the banners. I know it takes time, but what if you made each month dedicated to a specific type, say August is train month and so on...

    2. I like the idea... but it never occurred to me to make any other month a focused banner month. I love the train idea, but don't want to wait another 10 months for a train banner only thing. Maybe a do a week of this, then a week of that, etc. I have enough trains, tractors, race cars, etc to pull that off for a while

    hire an internet revenue consultant.
theres got to be a way you can have a couple of ads and make money on all the page views.

  14. It's your blog and your time, and we appreciate your efforts to amuse us. But I love the banners. Probably would not notice if you started using some banners from the past...or maybe you already have :)

    1. thank you!
you caused me to ponder how long I've been posting new banners daily, and it's been about 11 years. I think, I ought to post a "best of" the past 11 or 12 years of "best of" banners, and really filter the hell out of the good ones from each year, and post those for next year. The best of 2010 for Jan, the best of 2011 for feb... etc.
Dang. That's a good idea... thanks! I'm going to post this idea!

  15. 11 years already? I remember that hot rod you used frequently as your signature banner. Normally I have to stop a while to enjoy the banner before looking at the feeds. Best Regards. Elias

    1. I don't remember what year I started using that, but it must have been about 11 or 12 ago. I really liked that hot rod banner... El Mirage, Hot Rod, deuce, dust billowing off the back wheels, and the driver with goggles just enjoying life on the dry lakes run!
Seriously epitomizes my mood about being a car guy.
I simply can't afford that.... hell, it was nearly common place 70 years ago in the 50s, cheap as junk yard parts can be, and now? Junkyard cars are THOUSANDS of dollars, for real junk.
No hot rod parts are readily available, for reasonable prices for stuff that's nearly 90-110 years old, not even talking about aftermarket performance period pieces, I'm just referring to simple Ford or Chevy stuff from the 1910s to 1930s... so many hoarders are storing stuff, and that stuff gets permanently out of circulation, never sees road time, until an estate sale when some other hoarder buys it to store it.
Such a waste of parts, and drawing to a close of hot rodding. Even Hot Rod magazine doesn't have articles or photo features about hot rodding any more. The other classic hot rod magazines simply went out of business.
It's a millionaires hobby now, just like the horses that cars made obsolete. Once they were the poor mans transportation, now, they are the rich mans money pit. And the same thing has happened to hot rods, gow jobs, and jalopies
