they restored a BEAUTIFUL old rail car, then added something I haven't seen or heard of, they built a replica depot roof over it! Dang, I didn't need another reason to go see Idaho, but I sure don't mind knowing that this will be on my list someday






This American Car and Foundry Co. passenger car was used from 1909 to around 1955 on the Washington Idaho & Montana Railway. 

Now, it's a fantastic tiny home

  1. There's a similar setup at Hildene Museum in Manchester, VT. Originally the home of Robert Todd Lincoln, it includes a private Pullman car similar to the sort such folks would use, restored and in its own little depot. Very nice. So when you head off to Idaho, don't forget to make a little detour further east! There's a nice one at the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake, too!

    I can see converting one of those into a home. Compact luxury for sure.
