from Road and Track magazine, sent to me because the Hearst company of magazines suddenly and without warning decided to stop making the magazine I'd paid for, Autoweek.
Yes, Autoweek was better than Road and Track. Road and Track is for people that want to buy a Porsche, and a Corvette.
And this issue was front to back nothing more than the lucky bastards that work at R&T writing about how lucky they are to get car makers to send them the most expensive cars to flog.... even the new rear engine Vette, the McLaren, a Porsche, etc etc. Rough job, you know? Extra rough because they didn't get to play with a Shelby Mustang, a Porsche Cayman 718 GT4, a Polestar, Mercedes AMG GT R Pro, Ferrari F8 Tributo, BMW M8, Audi R8, and Aston DBS Superleggera.
See what I mean? Rough job.
Anyway, quote of the day, in light of all that, is from Zach Bowman,
"Why does a Lamborghini have a Sport setting? Didn't you buy the expensive loud one?"
Good point. Instead, it should have a "boring" setting, for locking out all hoonigan valets and friends who borrow your keys, with or without permission. Maybe a 7 digit code, and if you enter that code, you get the full experience, and if you don't know that code, you get boring... it's got enough power to move in traffic but won't smoke the tires or exceed 90 mph.
