It's probably already too late to get an entry in for this upcoming season, but FYI - Overhaulin' with Foose, AJ, and Chris are bringing the show back to life, this time on an App (to a paid for subscription) from MotorTrend. So, not broadcast tv, it's a monthly charge for access.

I include these so you can understand how extensive this application is, and have the info ready BEFORE getting started. it will save you time.

So, if you know someone (me) who'd love their old car to get overhauled (like me, lol) get this info together and send it in. They probably have been getting applications since July, and they made a bit of a promotion about this during SEMA, so the odds are shrinking fast to get your friends car overhauled.

But a compelling story probably goes a long darn way.

Especially if they haven't done a car like that before, such as was the case with Dave, https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2016/07/im-pretty-lucky-in-some-ways-one-is.html  a guy who was a co-worker of mine until he ran out of hope. Life can really be a harsh sledgehammer to the hopes, even to great guys with an Olds that Foose and friends Overhauled.

He mentioned once that because the show hadn't overhauled a early 60s Olds 88, that helped a bit with the application his girlfriend sent in

Frankly, they probably have already filmed their entire first season already.

  1. I think the main requirement for the cars on overhaulin were their close proximity to Fooses shop.
Foose is very gifted, no doubt about that.

cause they never did one that was more than a few miles away.
I like Garage Squad, they travel all over the country and get peoples projects finished and driving.

    1. I know Dave's car was down here in San Diego, about 90 to 120 minutes south of his Huntington Beach shop. I think I recall seeing them borrow a shop that wanted to help, but that was almost 15 years ago
