Surgeon Ted Rummel, is paralyzed from the waist down after his illness. That doesn't stop him from saving peoples lives

Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Ted Rummel was devastated with the news of a blood-filled cyst on his spine in 2010 that would eventually burst and lead to his paralyzation from the waist down. Despite the complications, however, the dedicated doctor has managed to find a way to continue working in the operating rooms of Progress West HealthCare Center and Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospitals through the use of an electric stand-up wheelchair.

  1. Dr. Rummel probably doesn't look at it this way. his attitude is, "I'm a doctor, a surgeon. I have a job to do." But in truth, Dr. Rummel is a super hero.

  2. What phenomenal dedication, not only for himself and his patients, but think of the innovative people who developed the wheel chair too!
