20-year-old Samantha was overwhelmed, from taking care of her five younger siblings for 3 years. She's been keeping them clothed, fed and going to school every day - all without the help of a car.

she resolved to keep her family, now ages five to 17, together after both Rodriquez's mother and father died from cancer in the past five years.

Last December, the Orange County Sheriff's Department's aviation unit learned of Rodriguez's unusual family and how they were sticking together through tough times. The officers invited the kids for a visit. Then they gave her a car, a Nissan Versa.

This is the first cool thing I've found police doing in quite a while, so, compliments! standing applause actually
