What has a flywheel, and conrods, but isn't an engine, and has nothing to do with vehicles? A 100 year old meat slicer

the Berkel model L slicer with pedestal was produced between 1907 and 1916 in the Netherlands

  1. 100 years, not 10. (I only mention it because it was in the headline). Beautiful piece of machinery, and definitely not the more common 'justacarguy' fare.

    1. clearly I meant 100. I do try to communicate that to my fingers, but they often are busy trying to fight sleep deprivation.
Like you say, not the more common JACG fare, but its humorous that something was made with con rods and a flywheel, and was nothing to do with a motor.
It's a bit of the wonder of the machinery, and a bit more that it's a beauty, with a pinch of antiquity that caused me to post it.
After all, who wants to see car reviews?
