  1. "It's a Silver 8 Streak!"
Beautiful 1948 Pontiac Torpedo Eight Deluxe Convertible, probably loaded with all available extras.
The streamlined Torpedo design was aggressive and had a purely American appearance.
Under the hood was the straight eight and the iconic 'Silver Streak' on its hood.
There were numerous available options, a few can be seen in the photo.
Choices included a Hydra-Matic (automatic) transmission, dual spotlights, a radio, fog lights,
and fender skirts. Deluxe model dress-up items featured chrome fender moldings, gravel guards, and plated wheel discs.

Jesse, a day doesn't go by without my checking-in on your great blog,
words fail to express the extent of enjoyment I derive from it and the admiration
I have for your efforts in creating and maintaining it. Cheers
