An official told the press briefing the airliner was landing when it collided with the Coast Guard's maritime patrol plane on the runway.

A Japan Airlines passenger plane caught fire on the runway after colliding with a coastguard aircraft, all 379 people on the airliner were evacuated. Japan had just had a 7.6 earthquake, the passenger airline collided with a Coast Guard plane that was about to deliver relief goods to residents affected
