Congrats, that's hard work & dedication. If you had the energy to turn this into a Youtube channel, it would in fact be a damn good paying job. You already have 56,000 posts of reflection for your second channel.......It takes some dedication, a somewhat like-able personality, but I'll bet you could find that freedom you're after if you thought you might want to get your toes wet in that world.
17 years, and I can't imagine how 56000 posts with words and photos of vehicles in black and white, steam locomotives that don't exist anymore, stuff out of history books, can be made into you tube videos. And You Tube doesn't start to pay until you're over 100,000 subscribers. I rarely get more than 30,000 views a day. Usually it's about 15k a day. That's never been 100k. So, not gonna get paid by You Tube. There's too damn many people making you tube videos.... unless there's a really good reason to watch, people go see the few that are already hit known quantities. If anyone could do it, there would be more Top Gear teams with Clarkson, May, and Hammond graduating out of you tube videos into the big time Since there aren't even 1000 followers to this blog after 17 years, I most certainly do not make the type of content that it would take to make a You Tube channel that would pay. I thank you for the compliment and confidence, but I made no overtones about being a You Tube ch. I just want to get some magazine or newspaper company to pay me to do this
I get it, just a suggestion and what you have would only act as an established step into youtube which is a huge advantage. I was lightly involved with the 4wd magazines back in the day.....what a mess, absolute mess.
Reckon you might have that many posts in this pic,Jesse! ;-)
