  1. This reminds me of a guy I met in the late 90’s, Eddie Evans of Bedford, Indiana. Eddie had been in the limestone business all his life and was a racing enthusiast as well. One of his sons sculpted several historic race cars out of solid limestone and placed them at the race car museum Eddie operated in his late years. One of them was a likeness of the NOVI driven by Duke Ironman Nalon in the 1949 500. The limestone car now greets visitors at the Speedway Museum in Indianapolis. One day after entering the museum in Bedford Eddie greeted me and told me if I had been about 30 minutes earlier I could have met the Duke. Ironman had visited the museum in an attempt to buy the limestone NOVI to use as a headstone for his grave. Looks like Kevin J Haas had the same idea.
