Anyone else get a kick out of the classic 80s movies, and the cool vehicles in those? I do, and am rewatching some, like tonights flick Lost Boys (hell of a great soundtrack too, maybe, the best)

this is a 1968 Land Cruiser

the comedy bit, was grandpa took the young kid into the barn to got to town in his 57 Fairlane, but he only turned it on and revved the engine, then shut it down and got out.

Looks like a Power Wagon behind the Land Cruiser

  1. We've been watching the Fall Guy as our go-to filler for when we can't make a decision about what to watch. I didn't expect get so much entertainment searching the background for lust worthy cars.

    1. I missed that in the 80s, because kids do NOT get to choose what's going to be ont he only tv in the house, and step dad's do. So, I do have a lot to catch up on with that show, and I was surprised to see it on the list of available shows on Amazon, or Hulu... whatever service it's on, I added it to my list of things to see when I get through the stuff I've already got that I'm interested in more... I still haven't finished Rockford Files, and you are focused on the same thing I am.... all the cool stuff in the background!
HA! Sure, these were good tv shows in general, but, like Magnum PI, there are things that are more interesting than the actors and storyline because of who is watching, and what they've lived through, and I was stationed in Pearl Harbor in 91 to 95, so, I enjoy the background of the Hawaiian city, scene locations, etc, as much as anything else. Same goes for Simon and Simon, as I've lived in San Diego for 28 years.
But there aren't many tv shows that have been filmed in any other places I've lived, or movies made, for that amount of interesting background location stuff.
Anyway, 60s, 70s, and 80s movies DO have a LOT of great vehicles to see incidentally, and that makes watching them a bit more fun
