a 16 yr old girl who went missing after attending a campground party, near a boat launch at a reservoir, was found in the underwater car. Like I have said repeatedly, those MIAs are going to be found in the underwater cars.

the teen was last seen Aug. 6th at a campground party attended by hundreds of teenagers and young adults.
Adventures with Purpose, YouTube people that assist in underwater car missing persons cases, found her car upside down in 14 feet of water with her inside of it.

I've posted about Adventures With Purpose in 2019 and this spring https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2019/09/the-guys-at-adventures-with-purpose.html, they specialize in cold cases where vehicles are involved, using sonar tech to look underwater.

(you tubers did the job of locating the missing teen, because it wasn't clear to the police to look there, next to the party, in the water just past the boat launch.)

Trained investigators, who've passed the minimum amount of police academy, and additional investigator ojt, couldn't figure that out. Seriously, that's what makes up the police dept.... and why they aren't rocket scientists. The cops said they used 20,000 man hours, to come up with no clues. Lots of those hours were overtime.

Police believe she may have been abducted and are treating their investigation as an abduction. Her vehicle, a silver 2013 Honda CRV that she drove to the party, also disappeared from the campground on the morning of Aug. 6.

Since California has a legal driving age of 18 without a supervisor over the age of 25, and a drinking age of 21, I'm guessing her parents are FUBAR for giving her a car, and letting her go to parties alone.

I'm not just bitching to bitch , or add salt to the wound, but to make this example that will prevent other families and friends from letting someone die like this. Don't give your kids a car, give them a credit card for UBER drivers. Don't let your teens out of the house at night without a sober bodyguard, preferably a relative, or eagle scout. Seriously.

  1. Your admonition is correct. The story is sad and avoidable.

  2. And shows how incompetent the cops are.
the cops searched for weeks and found nothing, the private dive team found the car with the missing person in it, less than ONE HOUR after they arrived.
