Either Ford lawyers aren't worth a damn, they slept in during this trial, or Ford F250 roofs are simply not safe in a roll over. A jury convicted Ford of gross negligence, and awarded a family 1.7 BILLION dollars

A Georgia jury has returned a $1.7 billion verdict against Ford Motor Co. involving a pickup truck crash that claimed the lives of a Georgia couple, their lawyers confirmed.

Melvin and Voncile Hill were killed in April 2014 in the rollover wreck of their 2002 Ford F-250. Their children Kim and Adam Hill were the plaintiffs in the wrongful death case.

A Verdict finally was delivered last week in the years-long civil case.

Ford defense lawyers had little to show, and could only push back against accusations "that Ford and its engineers acted willfully and wantonly, with a conscious indifference for the safety of the people who ride in their cars when they made these decisions about roof strength," defense lawyer William Withrow Jr. said in his closing arguments, according to a court transcript.

The verdict from a jury of 12 that Ford was irresponsible and willfully made decisions that put customers at risk is "simply not the case," another defense lawyer, Paul Malek, said in the same closing argument.

However, the evidence that convinced a jury, was nearly 80 similar rollover wrecks that involved truck roofs being crushed that injured or killed motorists, which the law firm Butler Prather LLP, brought to trial.

Maybe look at the 80 roll overs, and judge for yourself, OR, get a roll cage installed to protect the people in your Ford truck.

Whatever you decide, do not hire whoever the hell was defending Ford.

  1. Or maybe, the jury was swayed by the tragedy and the apparent "big pockets" of Ford. Juries are not infallible.

    1. Or the Jury was swayed by the evidence. Speculation is pointless isn't it.... unless you simply feel it's the only way to communicate your opinion. 80 similar roll over results are a lot of evidence of a design problem, and if the Ford Lawyers (my point of this post) were able to bring evidence of the design being not at fault, we'd see that news instead, on the Ford newsletter. But, Ford Authority never mentioned this lawsuit at all.
So, what's the link to your blog where you do an article on this?
