flywheel exits stage left

  1. That's "stage right", which is to the audience's (viewer's) left.

    1. yes, I didn't bother to fact check 4 words, again. It might not even be the flywheel, it could be the clutch plate.
Please, enjoy the entertainment, and forego the corrections. They chop the legs of my enjoyment of the day right out from under me.
If it can't be helped, and I've sinned egregiously, and society as we know it will be harmed irrevocably, then hasten to let me know.
If not, let it go. I'll go on about my day with childlike innocence, unaware that erred. The bitter taste of mistakes made won't sully the joie de vivre that carries me from one post to the next, with a tippy tappy song in my heart.
      I prefer that.

    2. Most US Navy sailors leave the service with a respect for attention to detail and an appreciation for accuracy. Thanks for clarifying.

    3. I wasn't a theater major. Yes, I was a US Navy squid, bubble head, submariner.
Maybe you missed the part where I've used the last 15 years to appreciate the entertainment stuff I've shared, the artists, creators, photographers, hot rodders, inventors, and innovators.
So, the attention to detail I've been sharing, was lost on you because I missed the theater phrase, when quoting Snagglepuss?
Oh dear. Now what will I do?
Again, as you seem to have missed it the first time, o attention to detail person, quit complaining, just move along. You're wasting my time bitching about nothing.
Be a part of a better world where you ignore the slings and arrows, they aren't aimed at you, and just jolly along so I can do the fun stuff that brings a lot of other people some laughs and enjoyment.
Or, move along if I'm such a disappointment. You didn't pay a subscription, you aren't owed an error free blog.
As for what sailors leave the service with, it's sure as fuck not to put up criticism from someone that hasn't got the courtesy to avoid bringing up their expectations of our performance in regards to theater directions.
I'm not here for your edification, nor am I going to use port, starboard, aft and forward because you are here to nit pick, and I happen to be familiar with the terms.
Since you're having an issue with intellectual issues today, I'll remind you that Teddy Roosevelt famously quoted about the man in the ring. You ain't the man in the ring.

  2. Is it even possible for a flywheel or a clutch plate to come out like that?

    1. yes, that's why stick shift transmissions used in racing are recommended to have scatter shields, to prevent the parts from cutting through the drivers legs.

  3. As a Chevy Opala owner, I can say that it happens quite frequently. People make improvements in the engine, but forget about clutch, transmission, differential and etc.

Btw, 99% of the Chevrolet Opalas are stick shift. Automatic transmissions became a thing in Brazil only after the 90s.
