DriveTribe is shutting down after five years, not uncoincidentally, now that the Grand Tour is also completed... or am I jumping to a conclusion?

"We’re all really disappointed that challenges in the industry - not in the least helped by the ongoing pandemic - have simply made it impossible to continue with the business in its current form," Clarkson said in the statement.

Clarkson, Hammond, May, and Grand Tour producer Andy Wilman created DriveTribe in 2016, because "There’s no grand-scale online motoring community where people can meet and share video, comments, information, and opinion."

The Grand Tour premiered in 2016 with weekly episodes on Amazon Prime, and in July 2019, Willman announced that he and the rest of the crew had extended their contracts with Amazon for two additional years. Now those are done, and so is Drivetribe
