I don't think it's impossible to imagine that someone would decide to make a fun wagon, for getting kids to soccer practice, getting groceries, etc

My second car at the age of 18 was a '55 Nomad, probably in 1967. Actually EVERY "SUV" no matter the size IS A STATION WAGON. Many vans I owned were titled as a Station Wagon.
