not a Rickenbacker car, but a Rickenbacker-engined special Volpi. A Fuerza Libre race, won by a 1938 Grand Prix Alfa Romeo

  1. I believe Fangio used the Rickenbacker engine only for the race in Bell Ville. He later replaced the Rickenbaker engine with a Chevrolet engine. The car was called "La Petiza" which roughly translates to the short girl. There is some more information about this car on Fangio's museum website (https://www.museofangio.com/en/juan-manuel-fangio/cars/31/).
