for the 1960 model year only, Ford Canada introduced the Frontenac to give Mercury-Meteor dealers a compact vehicle to sell, the Frontenac was essentially a 1960 Ford Falcon with its own unique grille, tail lights, and external trim, including red maple-leaf insignia.

How have I never seen or heard of one of these until now?

The Frontenac, which was only available in Canada, sold well at a little over 8,400 units in 1960.

  3. I've never heard of it either. It's interesting that they used the same name as the Chevrolet brothers did after they left GM and the Chevrolet brand. You have a couple of old posts about the older Frontenac cars.

    1. I recall the old ones, but had no clue about the 1960 ones! Isn't it odd we've never heard of them?
