if you'd asked me yesterday what a Beauville was, I wouldn't have known

  1. Father-in-law had one years ago that was all utility and heavy duty suspension. The place I worked also had a Beauville van that was super luxurious and comfortable. Seems like it should have been the other way around.
Always thought it was a strange name for a full size van.

  2. A friend bought one brand new in 1975. Maybe they were a Canadian only model?

    1. No, not Canadian2. It was used in the US for many years on the full size Chevy van..
According to Wikipedia - "Revived from the Tri-Five station wagon series, the 1971-1996 Beauville was the highest-trim Chevrolet passenger van, offering upgraded seats and interior trim".

However, as I said in my previous comment, my father-in-law had a late 70's- early 80's Beauville that was pretty stripped. It had bench seats, vinyl floor and heavy duty suspension that made it ride like a work truck unless fully loaded.
