I'm going to guess the motocycle rider wasn't giving enough attention to the truck behind him that wasn't giving him enough attention. Seriously, do you want to avoid getting rear ended? Keep aware of the traffic behind you, especially at a stop.

  1. I always do Jesse, even when I'm not riding the bike. I also try to give myself space to escape if I have to.

  2. In my 45 years of riding motorcycles from Hondas to Harleys I always kept the bike in gear and an eye out for a safe escape route.

  3. People need to think of allowing a motorcycle to have the same amount of space that a car would have. But instead its pull right up behind them to get that extra couple of inches of space in traffic, etc.
