Kevin Hart was a passenger in his 1970 Barracuda resto mod when the driver lost control turning from Cold Canyon onto Mulholland, injuring Hart and the driver, at 12:54 am

Kevin Hart's car was built by Speedkore, with a Hellcat engine, appeared in “The Fate of the Furious” with several of the company’s other creations, and Hart just bought it in July for his 40th birthday

The two-door has been modified with carbon fiber body panels, cf bumpers, and cf hood, drip rails removed, a lowered suspension, performance handling tires and a fully updated interior.

It’s nicknamed “Menace” and was first shown at the 2016 SEMA show, where it caught the eye of the film’s producers.

The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. in the area of Mulholland Highway and Cold Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Barracuda veered off the road and rolled down the embankment, probably from flooring the gas pedal

the tire marks are either from panic stopping to avoid hitting something, OR burning the back tires in a Hellcat engine powered smokey launch that went out of control

The road is straight for a long distance, so it wasn't poor turning and high speed through curves.

the car, driven by Jared Black, left the roadway and tumbled down an embankment near Malibu, California. Black’s fiancée, fitness trainer Rebecca Broxterman, was also in the car. Black also suffered back injuries; Broxterman was not seriously hurt.

According to CBS, Black and Broxterman were trapped inside the ’Cuda, but Hart was able to leave the scene of the crash and get medical attention at his home before he and Black were later transported to nearby hospitals.

    1. What is your source for that? Hagerty says it's a Hellcat engine, and it's not likely to be a Demon engine, it's more likely to be a Hellephant 1000 Hp crate engine
